New Fall Adventures

Ok, so I know once again it's been a little while since our last post. Time is just flying past us and we are just holding on for the ride. Since it's been a while, we are just going to give you a quick update on us in the last month or so...To start things off, I (Thomas) put in my two weeks at Franklin Covey and am now working for a company called iFreedom Direct. I am a loan officer dealing with FHA/VA loans across the nation. I am learning lots and know that the things I am learning will help us out in the future. As for Bree, she is still at Lighting Design loving life and "making the world a brighter place." Our little kitties are just as big as ever and still quite wild. They run everywhere because aparently walking is not an option for them. Also, they have decided that the beds they have are not as comfy as our bed. So they both sleep in between us and during the night Dolce will sleep on my pillow and keep kicking me in the head so that I move my head off the pillow so he can sprawl out. Don't ask us why they run our house, but I think anyone who has a pet would agree...they are in charge!

So apart from being extremely busy with work not a whole lot else is going on. Whenever we get a chance we try to have a date night or spend some time together. As of recent, with the weather changing we have taken some drives up the canyon to just look at the leaves (for Bree) and look at the snow caped runs at Snowbird (for me).

Just yesterday we went and took some family pictures up American Fork canyon which was absolutely beautiful and a blast. Once we get the pictures I will update the blog and you can see how much fun we had and how cool the pictures turned out. Sorry this is a quick post but none the less, it's a post right?! We will keep you posted on anything else new and exciting. Hope all is well with you, thanks for all of your love and support!

Wipeout!!

Well ladies and gentleman, as I am sure you can tell now, we are getting better and better and this whole blogging thing! Anyways, just thought we would keep you updated with the latest and greatest adventures. So yesterday (Saturday) we were invited to go boating up at Jordanelle with our cousins and some friends. To say the least, it was a blast! I was the first one to go out, and after I got over the intial shock of the cold water, I was more than happy to get up and out of the cold water wakeboarding. It was sooo much fun and it has been so long. I had completely forgetten how much wakeboarding exhausts your legs. I was able to jump the wake after a few VERY unsucessful tries. Regardless to say, I finally did it and decided that I am good to go because my legs were shaking they were so tired and plus the water was pretty choppy. Needless to say, when the water is choppy...that makes GREAT tubing water! So the girls were the first to go out, and can you believe that between Bree, Kristi Green and Karoline Welling, they can scream non-stop for 20 minutes without taking a breath?! The only time there was silence was when they would wipe out and be in the bone chilling water. After their bodies were bruised and tired they came in and it was the boys turn.

So Justin Green on my right hand and Dan on my left, it was out of control! We all got laughing so hard and the boat was throwing us every which way on the water. We threw eachother off the raft a couple times and we flipped more than our fair share. I think our top speed was somewhere around 37 mph...which makes the water feel like cement when you are hitting hit. Bree and I are both quite sore from hanging onto our lives while on the raft but it was well worth the abuse!

Funniest thing ever today!

OK so here is a story that anyone who has walked the sidewalks of the UofU can appreciate. So last spring semester, I would be buzzed daily by these long boarders and skate boarders. Every day I wanted to pull a "Big Daddy" and throw sticks out in front of them to watch them fall. (I know that sounds borderline sick/physco but you would understand if you have been on campus.) Anyways, so I just finished my first class and am walking downhill to my next, on the way I was buzzed by an out of control skate boarder. So I think to myself..."how cool would it be to see him fall!" So I am watching him and he gets going a little too fast for his own good, and tries to push his skateboard off on the lawn and just run it out on the grass. Sounds harmless enough, except for the fact the grass was still a little slippery from the morning dew. Oh my gosh! Books in his hands go flying, and he looked like he was on a slip 'n slide! After sliding a good 5-10 ft he stood up and from the top of his shirt to the bottom of his shorts was a huge muddy stripe! So I am dying laughing and can barely see straight and so he hurries and gathers his stuff back up and takes off again...about 50 ft further down...it happens again to the SAME GUY!! By this time my sides are hurting and everyone is looking at me like I am a freak. But I just laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes. It's the little things in life that bring you so much joy! Just so you know, after the first fall I did try and take a picture, but unfortunately by the team I could breath after laughing so hard and get my phone out...he was already up and on his way! What a great way to start to school year...all and all...today was a great day!

Wonderful Wild Adventures!!

Wonderful Wild Adventures!

Ok one and all, we are so sorry that we have not updated our blog in such a long time but none the less we are going to try and stay on top of it. So instead of trying to play catch up, we are just going to go from here and start with this weekend! We have been wanting to go to the Zoo for sometime now and we have been unsuccessful so we decided this weekend IS the weekend! Apparently they have completely re-done the entire Zoo, needless to say, it was pretty awesome! As you can see (Hopefully if I figure out how to post pictures) we had a great tim
e and saw some amazing animals. One of the big highlights for me (not so much for Bree though) was watching this ginormous gorilla. So he takes a stroll and walks towards the big monkey jungle gym and so we are all excited thinking that we are going to see this gorilla scale this jungle gym. So he climbs up to the first platform squats and believe it or not, sticks is huge hand underneath him and catches his poop. (Gross I know, but it gets better!) So I am thinking wow, he brings a whole new meaning to "Be a man use your hand." and then he begans to have an afternoon snack eating his own poop. It was pretty wild, but none the less while poor Bree was gagging I was just histarical laughing. Talk about recycling! Also here is how Bree and I measure up to those Apes! Talk about HUGE!!!

Now on a more non nausiating level, there were the big cats! All I can say is that although we already have our own two little terrors of cats, I want a big one! So I am searching online and figuring how long it will take to save up and buy one. As of now, if we can live off Cup of Noodles for the next 8,423 days, we should be able to support his eating habits for a year and afford to buy him! We are still working out the details but none the less it would be a blast. So there is the latest and greatest...We will keep you posted next go round! (Promise it will be within the next little bit, NOT 8 MONTHS!)
